On behalf of the Board of Directors of ELCIC Group Services, Inc., I am pleased to announce that Barb Fortier (pictured right) has been appointed as the Executive Director of GSI, effective April 1, 2025.

Barb holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree and has served as the pension and benefits administrator with GSI for nearly twenty years. Her experience at GSI and her expertise will serve her well in this new role as Executive Director.

Appreciation for Lisa

The Board would also like to wish departing Executive Director Lisa Thiessen a wonderful next chapter in her life. In her 23 years in this role, Lisa brought dedication, competence, and efficiency to her work; GSI has been successful adapting to many changes in the ELCIC and the pension and benefits landscape in part due to her vision.

Lisa, may your future be filled with wonderful adventures with your family and friends. Thank you for your leadership and service.
