Critical Illness

ELCIC Group Benefit Plan members have the option to purchase critical illness coverage, at their own cost. This could be an important addition to your financial planning, further protecting your family and your lifestyle.

With critical illness coverage, the insured receives a tax free lump-sum payment to use however they wish. It becomes available when an insured individual is diagnosed with one of the 22 covered critical conditions outlined in the policy.

A detailed description is provided in this brochure. The cost of the coverage depends on gender, age and smoker status. Rates may be adjusted annually on July 1st. Here are the required forms:
